Frequency of Facebook Posts for your Origami Owl Fanpage
I love using Facebook in my Origami Owl business and if you have been following me for a while, then you know it is for good reason. Facebook is a unique social site that allows you to connect more personally with your friends, family and followers to chat and share on all topics. It is fabulous for business too by using the Facebook Pages. Facebook is a great place to show your customers that you are a serious business owner who is consistent and dependable when it comes to being their “go to” locket lady. If you don’t have a fan page yet, here are the steps to get started building your Origami Owl Facebook Fanpage.
Because I use Facebook religiously, I have grown my friendship base and business over the past 8 years. I also often get asked by others – How often should I post on Facebook to grow my business? Here are a few tips I have learned along the way that I can share to help your business page get off the ground.
Facebook Posting Tips for your Origami Owl Fan page
First of all, stay in compliance with Facebook’s rules by using a page instead of your personal profile if you are going to be talking business a lot. They will shut your profile down if it is used primarily for business.
A good rule of thumb is that businesses should try to publish a new post at least three to four times a day, six to seven days a week. Posting two or three times a day is acceptable but the key is to post consistently through out they day with 2-3 hours in between. If you do not post consistently, Facebook will not rank you page high enough for it to even show in your fan’s feeds. I highly recommend scheduling your facebook posts so that you can stay on top of keep your page consistent.
In addition, business owners should post topics and information related to their business or their business niche. You should avoid anything that may offend fans of your page. The things to avoid include: religion, politics, sexual orientation, racial issues, etc.
Even though you shouldn’t post a slew of information to your page every day, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be checking your Facebook account often. You should be checking in at least 3 times a day to address any issues or to answer any questions. When fans post questions, they like to receive those answers quickly. I highly recommend responding to every post with the fans name and maybe even a question to keep the conversation going.
Be Different on your Origami Owl Fan page.
Don’t forget to be engaging and while there is no hard and fast rule on how often you should post on Facebook, keeping it fresh will help your Origami Owl Facebook fan page grow. Something I constantly see is hundred of designers copying one post and sharing it. You have to dare to be different. You have to stand out. You have to be the one that has ideas and thoughts that people will come back for and not be the one that posts the same graphic that 400 other designers have posted. Find ways to post your own unique content and graphics. Stay tuned to my blog for a list of the best tools and apps to create your very own unique graphics.
An Origami Owl Facebook fan page serves no purpose if you don’t open its doors for business. By that I mean posting on your page every single day and engaging with your fans. If you had a retail shop and customers came in, you wouldn’t just ignore them, would you? Something to think about. Visit me on my Fanpage to check out how I open my store for business.
